Toronto Judicial Courthouse Life Safety Upgrades
Operate without interruption during your major upgrade. Quantity Surveyors can help balance the benefits to the costs.
In order to keep the Toronto Courthouse fully operational during this major Life Safety Upgrade project, a very complex system of construction phases and scheduling was required to ensure the facility could operate without interruption. This required night time and weekend work only.
As part of the integrated design team, A.W. Hooker proactively addressed cost implications as phasing and scheduling for every aspect of the project were being developed. As solutions were found for each challenge, A.W. Hooker supported the design team in presenting and explaining the costs to the Owner.
The design team was afforded an independent review of the constructability of the project, and where certain areas were not well defined, were able to address these scopes of work before they resulted in cost overruns or delays. The Owner was provided a greater level of certainty of each potential solution and the cost implications.
